Hospital Beds - Gold

Hospital Beds - Rose

Hospital Beds - Blue

Something from the past today. The great, basic metal bed famous in old-time hospitals and dormitories. Just a good, worn, minimal look. Note the thin mattress. This time there's something new— twin beds! Since there's just the one of you, I've included only the sleeping and reading animations, and it comes with a great low price, only L$111. Of course, I had to re-animate the whole thing to fit, so consider it a special discount.

The regular king bed has the usual 230 animations, in the Relax Menu (Sleeping, Reading, Cuddling), the Touch and Taste Menu (guess), the Love One Menu (He Atop and She Atop), and the Love Two Menu (From Behind and Upright). Ever try to parse 230 animations? Tricky!

Three posts follow, since there are three color families.

Walter

Had a nice visit with Walter. Had to build him a stair so he could climb up out of the riverbed. Not easy being a small cat.

Tropical!

I did fiddle with the tree bed, and came up with this. Again, thanks to Callirhoe Ballyhoo for the use of her person and her Tiki House.

French Beds - Moss

And here's the one with wood rather than upholstery. I may need to fiddle further with this one. I think it might look great in metal. Maybe with rivets...

French Beds - Grey

You can't go wrong with elegant, in my book.

French Beds - Coral

I have a niece. I know of the importance of pink.

French Beds - Gold

I'm going to split this one up in four posts because there are so many pictures to post. These are some beds that normally have upholstered headboards and footboards, but I did one in wood as well just because they look good. I made them with extra-tall headboards and with some that have a more usual proportion.

Walter!

When you stop by the shop you'll meet my business partner, Walter. Walter is a rescue, belonging to a friend of mine. He wouldn't stay put in her house so he came to live with me. I think I've patched up all his escape routes. Here he is in the shop near the boat beds. I'm in the background near the beer.

Longer Boat Beds

Here's a treat for anyone who remembers Cat Stevens. The Longer Boat Bed. I plead that I hadn't done a nutty bed in a while. Here's one. Whether you're a Viking or a Medievalist or a Gorean, here's a real curiosity of the seas. Oars aren't scripted.

A bit of trivia on this one. The boat was one of the first things I ever tried to make in mesh. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't load. 70,000 vertices! This one has substantially fewer.

Copy and Modify!

I want to mention that all our beds are copy/modify. So if you have some favorite textures you'd like in your house, go for it! All beds are 100% mesh and (@*$(!*) carefully texture mapped, so your textures should look great on your bed. If something goes wrong, just rez a new one.

Frame Beds

These beds make me want to move into a cool loft somewhere. Just a simple classic.

And about the pink one— I have a niece in RL. I have become very conscious of the color pink.

Rustic Beds

Okay, maybe you don't want to sleep in a tree. I gotta be me. So I took the Hanging Beds down and changed a few things around and made these Rustic Beds. These are really handsome. I like the blue one for me.

I should pause and thank my friend and model Callirhoe Ballyhoo, fellow furniture maker and the one who got me thinking about making things in Second Life. Not only does she help me with my picture needs, all these photographs were taken in her small 512 Houses. They're available in the Marketplace. Each one fits on a 512 lot.

Hanging Beds

From one weird idea to the next. Wouldn't it be nice to sleep outside in a forest, and not in a shaky hammock that turned you into a bipedal banana? Just hang the whole bed up there. So I did. Bring your own trees. Check out the cool hanging end tables and (unscripted) ladders.

Tree Beds

Here's our first product, the weird idea I had for a bed that (probably) wouldn't exist in real life. SL should be about more than reproducing reality, right? We have plenty of reality. I thought this would be a bit of magic. Good for elves, fae, princesses, whoever.
